CLASSROOMS PROJECT - 2018/19

Mosebo is a small town/village in Adet Wereda in the Gojam region.  The school is named after the town.  Mosebo Elementary was established in (1987 E.C) and accommodates around 800 students and 22 teachers.  The land where the school sits was a originally donated by local farmers to the government as they saw the need for a nearby school for their children.  They also went further and tried their best to build decent classrooms throughout the years.  Due to lack of funding and experience, the condition of the classrooms had been below standards for any human to be in, let alone children.  Most rural schools are in the same condition throughout Ethiopia.

It took us several trips and interviews before we settled on Mosebo for our 2018/2019 school project.  We were received well by the local town officials as they showed their enthusiasm for a better school structure.  They pledged to help as much as their capacity and resources would allow.    For the most part, both the local community leaders and the community at large helped with providing water for construction purposes (cement mixing, etc...).  It is our hope that they continue to build on what we have started and build more classrooms as well as additional schools in the area.

Mosebo being our first project outside of Gonder, we are ecstatic that we are able to spread our wings south to Gojam.  And we must say, this particular project has been our best work.  We strive to improve our efficiency as well as our quality of work every year.
