School Supply Drive

Gonder City - 2018

Our third branch of Take Care Of Homes vision, is our annual school supplies giveaway event. We have officially named it the Tsegereda Project. She inspired us to start it just a year ago by simply asking for two pens and a few folders for herself and then asked if it wasn’t too much trouble if we would also help her friends out in a similar financial strain as her. Cheers to you Tsegereda for being so thoughtful. 

On three separate events, we were able to supply a total of 290 students with a year worth of school supplies, minus the backpacks. A total of 2,016 folders, a couple pens and pencils per student. All supplies were bought locally from a small business owner.

Total Cost: 28,527 Birr ($1040)

Special thanks to our volunteers and Gebriel church and it’s youth mahber for the assistance in handling the sometimes overwhelming crowd. We wish we could’ve accommodated everyone in need.
